Holmbush Paintball is proud to host a "Help For Heroes" Paintball event.
At Hombush Paintball we are passionate supporters of the UK Armed Forces. As well as employing ex-forces personnel, we feel strongly that everyone can go a little further in supporting our troops. We would like to thank everyone that aided the event by supporting it and attending.
On July 16th & 17th members of the public, local business owners and sportsmen got a small taste of what it is like to experience trench and urban warfare in wet conditions - something our UK troops have to endure as part and parcel of their chosen professions.
Don't worry though as the brave boys and girls from all over Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire were all taking part in a fund raiser for Help for Heroes, held at Holmbush Paintball near Crawley.
Despite the weather everyone had a thoroughly enjoyable time, "...it's a fantastic venue - safely run, 18 amazing gaming fields, great buildings to run around in. Everything is really well thought out from the games to the basecamp. I had a FANTASTIC time", commented Dan from Wraysbury Tyres. Other players have all praised the site and the marshals running the day in fairly miserable conditions, "...the rain just added that extra bit of fun and made it more of a challenge" - Dan from Cranleigh RCF.
All profits from the day have been totalled and Between the exciting paintball games there was time for donations to be collected, which combined, raised a total of ?2222.00 which is going straight to the Help for Heroes charity - www.helpforheroes.org.uk. It's a shame that only 50% of the expected people made it due to the weather, but of course there is still next year !
